24 Hole Harmonica Tutorial

I’ve just bought a tremelo Harmonica – I’m a complete beginner and need some information.?

Most of the on-line tutorials use a basic 10-hole harmonica (with the numbers on the harmonica), but mine has a double row of 24 holes – not numbered. How can I tell which hole is the equivalent of, say number 1 – so I can tell where to start playing?

I would start with a 10 hole first and try out wee tunes like “London bridge is falling down” or similar songs until you get the feel for it cos you cant see the hole your blowing in and you have to imagine where your tongue is lol! Honest,im not being crude, that is what you have to do cos i play a bit of harmonica.Try this song by Neil Young called Heart of Gold, its got a great wee bit of Harp in it.And when you can play a couple of tunes then i think you should progress to your “big” harp.Good luck with you suckin` and blowin`.Lol!
